Birthday Monster!!

Hello Everyone..

Here I'm back with a cute birthday monster card from Gerda Steiner Designs. I couldn't resist myself buying this cute image from them called "I didn't eat it (yet)! - Birthday Monster" for their August Challenge

Actually I made two cards with same layout ..Here is my first one..

To make my cards:

  • I took A2 size card stock and stenciled the background with distress ink. I have used Faber castell stencils.
  • Meanwhile I coloured this cute monster with gansai tambi watercolors and fussy cut it.
  • Then I die cut out the word Happy &  Birthday using W&W word dies and Do crafts dies respectively. Coloured the same with watercolors.
  • Adhered my die cut outs and image as shown.
  • Finally complete it by adding some sequins here and there.

Here is the second card..

Customized Rakhi Cards..

Hello Friends...

Here is my second post of the day...earlier one was my scheduled DT post...:)

Few weeks back , I have made couple of customized cards (to be precise 4.. sharing 2 cards in this post) for Raksha Bhandhan which we  have celebrated on 7th August ( For my international friends ..Raksha Bhandhan is a Hindu festival which means "bond of protection".On Raksha Bandhan, a sister ties a rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother's wrist with a prayer for his prosperity and happiness. This symbolizes the sister's love. The brother gives her a token gift and a promise to protect her.) But didn't get time to upload the same...So finally....I am here ..:) and participating in couple of challenges too ..

Here is card 1

This is my first Quirky card..which I made for my younger brother.. as he is currently settled in London.. I drew UK map and colored it..Love this super cute image from Jane's doodles which reminds me of our childhood...

And here is Card 2

For this card I drew the earth and colored it with gansai tambi watercolors , sentiments are handwritten. I have made 2 more cards with same theme..will share the same in next post..

Crafty Creations August Challenge- DT Post

Hello Friends,

Hope you are doing great!!

Here I am back with my DT post for Crafty Creations Challenges and as usual the theme is "Anything Goes". This challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I chose this  image for my card called "Superdad".

I made this card for my Dad's 65th Birthday which he has celebrated on 12th August...I am not very expressive with my words but for the first time I have sent a card on his birthday and thanked him and showed my gratitude for everything he has done for me.. He is my super hero..I love him too much... Before I get too much sentimental....;)

Here is my card..

By the way...He loved this card so much...:)..I'm glad that I expressed my feelings for him through this card...:) :)

To make this card:
  • I took A2 size white cards stock and stamped it with Neat & tangled sun burst stamp using water color and extend it further.
  • Then I die cut the city scape using clearly besotted dies on black card stock.
  • Meanwhile, I colored the digi image with Gansai Tambi watercolours and fussy cut it.
  • After that I adhered the city scape die cut out and super dad image along with colored stars which was part of the digi image.
  • Heat embossed the birthday sentiment from HLS stamp with gold embossing powder and added my handwritten sentiment below it.
  • Finally finished my card by adding gold sequins here and there.
Hope you like it.

You're so cool..

Hello Everyone,

Hope you're enjoying your Summer..

I am so excited to be on Craftin Desert Diva's  blog today and sharing this cool card which I have made using "Cool Treats" digital stamp set. I got inspired with current  mood board  challenge over CDD Gallery.

Here is my Card

Here is the mood board which inspired me... Isn't this mood board is yummy..;).. You can join us at CDD Gallery on facebook to participate in this fun challenge with lots of prizes.

To make this card..I took A2 size white card stock, Then colored these cones and lollies from "cool treats" digital stamp set and fussy cut it. You won't believe for creating the background, I haven't used  any fancy software but Microsoft office power point which every computer has...It's so simple ..you just have to insert your image and make it small then you can rotate it to any angle...easy peasy..:)

Once satisfied, I got it printed on A4 sheet and die cut out it using Fancy Frame Dies. Then colored the whole thing  with grey colour and left the images as it is..After that I adhered it to my A2 card stock..Arranged all the colored images as shown and added my hand written sentiment. And for the final touch up, I've added Glossy Accent to my lollies, which I hope you can see in the above image...This looks so yummy!!!

I hope you got inspired and join us at CDD gallery for some fun..
